Logistic Map Plot in Godot
Hi,
The web-version doesn't allow to save and download the JSON file. It's also slow af. It works best on PC,
What is a logistic map and what does it mean?`
Short answer: Idk.
But apparently, the logistic map is an equation, that takes regular numbers and turns them into unpredictable chaos. Back in the day it was used to generate pseudo random numbers. I'm not gonna bore you with the math (because I barely understand it myself) but it's really neato, the Veritasium video on this explains it well imo:
Why?
I'm going to use this equation for a game in the future, which is why i was experimenting with it a few months ago. That's why I added the option to save the values as JSON, but I figured, I might as well share it for anyone who's into math-porn and those who struggle implementing it themselves in Godot.
get the source code on github https://github.com/meloonics/Logistic-Map It's MIT licensed, so you can do whatever with it (maybe make it work faster/more efficient, lol)
or from the godot asset library https://godotengine.org/asset-library/asset/737
